Unlock a Student's Account After Image Login Failure

Overview

If a student is using the Image Login method in Hello World CS and fails to log in after three attempts, their account will automatically be locked for one hour to ensure security. As a teacher, you have the ability to unlock their account immediately through your teacher dashboard.

Follow the steps below to unlock a student's account:
  1. Log in to Your Teacher Dashboard
    • Go to the Hello World CS platform and log in with your teacher credentials.
  2. Navigate to the Gradebook Page
    • From your dashboard, click on the Gradebook option in the main menu.
  3. Access Section Information
    • On the Gradebook page, locate the Section Info button and click on it.
  4. Select the Student’s Name
    • Under the Image Login section, find the Login Unlock dropdown menu.
    • Click on the dropdown and select the name of the student whose account needs to be unlocked.
  5. Unlock the Account
    • Confirm your selection and click UNLOCK to unlock the student's account immediately.
Additional Notes
  • Once unlocked, the student can attempt to log in again without waiting for the one-hour lock period to expire.
  • If the issue persists, double-check that the student is using the correct login sequence for the Image Login method.
