Sandbox Projects

Sandbox projects are optional projects available in levels 1-5 of each of our Computer Science with VR courses (with the exception of CS Adventures where they aren’t available until Level 3). 

CS Adventures does however have a practice project available starting in level 2 to be used with the teacher slides for extra practice in CoSpaces.

Each level includes two distinct Sandbox projects: a Free Build Independent project and a Free Build Team project. These are also unique to each level.

The Sandbox projects are locked by default until all other projects are completed in that level. If a teacher would like students to use the Free Build projects sooner, they must unlock the projects using the access controls.

These projects serve as extension activities, allowing students to explore independently after completing other tasks. Teachers can also utilize these projects for the entire class to work on within their own guidelines. Teachers will still need to set up groups for the Team Free Build projects. Teachers can access these projects through the CoSpaces assignments page. Eventually, these will be viewable through the Hello World CS gradebook as well. We are looking forward to hearing how you use these in your classroom.
